When our 7-year-old son Xavier died of brain cancer, we identified a gap in resources for families with a child facing death. In an effort to bring comfort to a child and their family at end of life, we created the book, "My Love Will Follow You There" (https://www.carlagarrett.ca/mylovewillfollowyouthere) to tenderly guide a child through that space between death and the place we go next.
We want to ensure those families who want a hardcopy, can have one FREE of charge. We have already donated 100 copies to families, hospices, hospitals and clinics across Canada and US and we continue to receive requests!
But we need financial support to continue printing and shipping hardcopies of the book. With your donation, you can help ease the pain of the unknown for a child at end of life. Please help us bring some comfort and ease even a little bit of fear for just one child -- one family who has to say goodbye.
It’s not a book parents anticipate buying, but by working with hospices, child life specialists, therapists/social workers and palliative care doctors, this book will be distributed to those who need it, when they need it.
