Orlando Police Officer Will Anderson, who suffered a career ending injury in the line of duty in 2015, and his wife, Jessica, have teamed up with the Florida LEO, Fire, and EMS Wives and the Wounded Officers Initiative to help provide life-saving field trauma kits to law enforcement officers. The field trauma kits consist of a combat tourniquet, chest seal, blood stop wound powder and blood stop gauze which will be vacuum sealed in small pouches for officers to carry on their person. These kits will allow officers to immediately provide life-saving care to an officer or civilian who is shot, stabbed or receives a serious open wound injury. While law enforcement officers are provided with a standard first aid kit, these kits contain life-saving equipment that will be within arm’s reach for the officer to render immediate assistance in the event of an emergency. Where minutes matter, these kits can make all the difference in saving a life. Our goal is to supply field trauma kits to law enforcement agencies across the State of Florida.
