The Miniature Museum- Elevator Fund

Tax deductible
We're so pleased that we have been able to open Phase 1 of our New Home!
We need your help to add an elevator so we can add 5,000 square feet of galleries!

We are excited to announce that we have purchaed a new location at 830 Kipling St. Lakewood!  This property is just off of 6th avenue and will allow us to open in stages as we raise funds. The first phase is complete and we are working on Phase 2! We are working  to raise the funds to add an elevator so we may fully open our new home

Phase 1 allowed us to move our collection out of storage and open public galleries. We are excited to announce that we have begun construction on education space and are non fundraising to add an elevator. An elevator will make all floors of our building accessible. We will be able to host temporary exhibits, visiting exhibits and display favorites such as the "Cat House", model train, and miniature circus. We also have plans to add more hands on areas for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

The DMMDT has been entrusted with preserving Colorado’s childhood and we want to do that for generations to come.  The Museum gives people the opportunity to share and make memories with family and friends.  It is a venue for collectors to share and explore their passion.  It is a place of learning where history and art meet humanity.  Last year we had the pleasure of serving 14,000 visitors coming through our doors as well as providing outreach programs, workshops for adults and children, and our annual Fall Miniature Show.

Without support and help from you and our community, small Museums such as ours are rapidly falling to the wayside for high-rise apartments and big box stores.   Without a place to explore the joys of the past, to imagine the future, and to have a creative outlet for fun flights of fantasy--- all will be diminished.  Please help us in our goal to re-open the Museum to the public and to keep the wonderful world of miniatures, dolls, and toys alive.

The first tier of the Capital Campaign is underway, a year-end online goal of $100,000 toward the renovation of our new home.
