WW2 Willys Jeep Restoration Fund

Hi everyone my name is Lucas and I am from Sacramento, CA. Ever since I was a younger lad I always had a very deep appreciation for the military, military personnel and the equipment that they used as well. While my appreciation for the armed forces had always been present, a particular “era” of military ingenuity always held my regard higher than most which was the WW2 Willys Jeep.  This Jeep always seemed to have a way of making me pause and just reflect on the monumental task that it could have performed overseas to help the United States defeat our adversaries. It almost stood as a symbol of WW2 by itself as an unbreakable work horse that could be depended on. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase one of the Willys variations back in 2009. I had not felt this level of accomplishment before in my life. I had respected and appreciated them from afar, but I now actually had one in my possession. It wasn’t soon after I had acquired this beautiful piece of WW2 history that my family and I fell on hard times and we found out that our first child was on the way. It was at that time I knew that I was going to have to let my dream vehicle go. It was with a heavy, broken heart I sold it. I had wanted this jeep since I was a young boy and now I had to let it go.This is where I turn to you all. I know that with the generosity of many that I can accumulate the needed funds to find another piece of history.  With any luck I will have the opportunity to keep an iconic symbol of WW2 alive and teach our youth about the sacrifice that was given to keep the world safe.
