The Wisconsin Association of Community Oriented Police (WACOP) is proud to announce “A Day of Support for Families of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers,” on May 13th, 2017. This unique event will feature renown speakers and workshops targeted toward the loved ones of law enforcement officers in Wisconsin.
As law enforcement officers across the country bravely endure the struggles of this challenging time, we cannot forget the effects that our noble profession can have on those closest to us. Although widely publicized incidents and attacks on police officers have placed policing at the forefront of an often contentious national discourse, Wisconsin’s law enforcement officers continue to serve honorably and courageously. Our greatest strengths are our professionalism and the support of the community, our families, and our friends.
A Day of Support for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers will present information on recognizing and coping with stress, support systems for officers and their families, and the unique challenges inherent in having a loved one as a law enforcement officer. During this time, officers accompanying attendees can enjoy the Kalahari Resort and spend the evening with colleagues, friends, and family.
WACOP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide quality training to law enforcement officers to better their responses to their communities’ needs. WACOP members represent 50 different agencies in the State of Wisconsin and we are supported by donations from individuals and organizations who appreciate the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers.
We are asking the community for support to make this a no-cost session for officers’ families. Your tax-deductible donation to this unique and worthwhile program would be greatly appreciated. In exchange for your contribution, your name, business, or non-profit organization will be advertised at the event.
