Welcome to our fundraiser! We are thankful that you have stopped by to consider giving to our ministry.
The aim of Vertical Ministries is to effectively and deeply strengthen the community of Christ within the Turlock area. Run by Jacob Nannie and Tim Truax, we plan to accomplish this goal through providing resources that stimulate discussion and questions to stir up our effections for Jesus as we uncover (1) who He is and (2) how we can live a life that does one thing, and one thing only-bring Him glory.
The Lord has blessed our pursuit through our humble beginnings as we launched our website, gained contributors to our blog, and formed a community of 47+ believers on our closed facebook group (which, if you're reading this, can request permission and we will add you without hesitation).
Every week, Tim and Jacob release a podast episode that addresses current cultural issues within the Christian worldview. Here, we listen to weekly voicemails, review activity on our facebook group, and discover how we can strengthen our pursuit of a life and honors Jesus.
The fruit that has come from Vertical Ministries has been unexpected as we have grown and seek to continue. This, however, will begin to be restrained due to our inability to self-fund our mission.
This is where we need your assistance!
The equipment that we are using for our podcast is borrowed from our local church. Seeing as we fullfill our funding goal, we will be purchasing these items:
(2) MXL Condenser Microphone - $160 total
(2) Pop Filters, for sound quality - $40 total
(2) Scissor-Arm Mic Stand - $40 total
(2) Mic Chords for Recording - $24 total
(1) Audio Interface (the item that connects our mic to the computer and allows us to record) - $96
(1) Drop Box Subscription (storage space for our recordings. This allows to upload to iTunes as well!) - $100
TOTAL=$460 (plus shipping)
At this point, you may ask yourself-why do you they need this equipment when all seems to be going well?
Aside from it currently being borrowed, the audio quality and functions of the microphones are, in essence, just getting us by. With the new equipment we can:
- Have guests on our show
- Record from separate locations (since our schooling plans will geographically set us in different cities)
- Upload our podcasts consistantly and regularly
- Enhance the quality of our recordings
We believe that we are called to this ministry and our prayer is that we would pour our hearts into it to achieve excellence in building His kingdom! We would be blessed with anything you could contribute to our mission by our end date-December 31st, 2016.
Above all, please help us in praying that our hearts remained focus on Jesus, our minds be directed toward knowledge that only He gives, and, of course, we always KEEP LOOKING UP!
