UPDATE: Due to the recent disaster in Nepal, the nature of my trip has changed. I will be spending the majority of my time helping with relief efforts in any way possible. I will be partnering with World Vision in relief efforts once I get there. Thank you, your donation means more now than ever.
In less than 30 days I will leave for Nepal on a journey to experience their culture and their beautiful country. I will be there for 46 days completely alone. As a college student, I have struggled financially as my departure date has crept closer. I was hoping to be able to make this trip without help, but regretfully, that just doesn't seem like a possibility.
I have paid for my ticket, I have all the gear I need, and am working full time to try to raise the money I need to be in country, but I will still come up short of what I need to be safe financially. Any support is greatly appreciated, with even a small donation of just 10$ providing enough money for an entire day's worth of food and lodging in country.
As an incentive for support, each donation of 20$ will get a full sized (8x10) photograph of me at Everest base camp! A 40$ donation will get the above photograph and an authentic Nepalese prayer flag. A 100$ donation will recieve everything the 20$ and 40$ donations recieve along with a hand written copy of my travel journal, documenting each day of my journey.
Your donation goes directly to costs related to being in country. Things like food/lodging, taxi rides to/from trekking areas, trekking permits, and my visitor Visa.
I have been hesitant to ask for help up to this point because of my pride and the awareness that this is a trip for self fulfillment, but I have decided to swallow my pride and ask for help.
