Trey Scott Memorial Scholarship

Trey was the most amazing warrior. He was born with congenital heart disease and had open heart surgery to correct transposition of the great vessels.
At age 3 he was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. His prognosis was 6 months.  Trey passed away on Setpember 17th at age 22.   Trey had a bucket list of items that he wanted to acomplish and there are still a few left. 

Any money raised will go to a scholarship fund in his name.  There are scholarships based on  races, socioeconomical status, gender, sports, academics, etc.  There are very few for children that have managed to attend school while fighting life threatening illnesses.   Trey was one of those superstar!!! These children have a tendency to miss alot of school and sometimes there grades and extra curricular activites suffer.

Trey attended school and played baseball with an IV pump hidden in a back pack  that would deliver life perserving medicine to him through a central line in his chest.   Sometimes after school we would have to go directly to the hospital to be checked  into the infusion center and have  medicine run  through a pick line in his arm, while doing his homework. 

I was humbled daily by Trey's strength and acceptance.  Trey constantly reminded people that he used all of his medical experiences not to be bitter, but to change the world for the better for the children following in his footprints.  Please help us to keep Trey's hope alive by contributing to his memorial scholarship fund.

We miss you Trey more that words can tell. We were blessed to be your parents.  I hope one day to be as great a person as you were.
