Trenton Ball's Surgery Expenses

On January 7, 2016 around 6:30 pm, our little boy Trenton was viciously attacked by a pit bull. He was rushed to Dayton Children's Hospital where he had emergency reconstructive surgery. After hours of waiting we were told he was out of surgery and that 60% of his upper lip and septum were gone. He had a skin graft done from under his left arm to reconstruct his upper lip, and our poor baby has tubing in his nose to hold it open so he can breathe.

Trent has been in the hospital since Thursday evening and may be able to be released soon. The doctors have to make sure that the skin on his upper lip is turning pink and that he is able to eat and drink enough. He will have to return to the hospital in 3-4 months for more reconstructive surgery and he will also have to have 5-6 plastic surgeries throughout his life time.

Trenton is so strong. As soon as he came out of surgery he wanted to sit up, get out of bed, and play with his toys. He was playing with his 1 year old brother yesterday, acting like they were getting the monsters in the bathroom. His personality has not changed through all of this. He is still so happy and full of joy. I am so grateful that our little boy has not been changed by this tragedy.

I am creating this fundraiser to raise the money for all of his future surgeries that his insurance may not cover because it is considered cosmetic surgery. Our goal is to raise $10,000 simple because we have no idea how much even one of his surgeries is going to cost without help from his insurance. I can not even begin to explain how thankful I am for everyone's support, thoughts, and prayers, and for everyone who has shared our baby's story. This is something no child should ever have to go through and I am SO PROUD of our baby for being as strong as he has been. He's a trooper and a fighter! He's a survivor and nothing is going to stop our baby!
