We are a diverse & dynamic group of friends celebrating a milestone birthday with gratitude and purpose and we are seeking your support.
We are a bunch of 1969 babies turning 50 and simply using this as a golden opportunity to celebrate in an impactful way.
Our goal is to raise money, create awareness and advocate for children living with Cerebral Palsy in Nigeria by bringing our expertise and influence to bear.
Our donations will be supporting the Cerebral Palsy Center in Surulere Lagos, Nigeria and our campaign will run throughout the year 2019. With all funds delivered to the CP Center by January 15, 2020.
The center is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established in 2010 involved hands-on in the management of children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). The Founder is Nonye Nweke who has a personal love story which makes her live and breathe Cerebral Palsy her daughter, Zimuzondu, who is the reason why the center exists.
In the almost 9 years of its existence, the CP Center has worked with over 200 children and currently has 10 children in the boarding facility that doubles as the Nonye's home. A few of the children have been abandoned by their parents and 10-12 receive day care service daily.
All the children have access to daily therapy and the best possible private specialized medical care all at NO cost to the parents. and is sustained by generous donations from people like you! Due to limited space and funding, many have been turned away which can be a quite difficult & emotional process for parents, staff and Nonye herself.
We hope to support Nonye's work and her desire to create a more conducive and effective multipurpose center for the children she has dedicated her life to.
