On May 11th, 2015, the city of Vine Grove endured a tragic loss when Tasha Jonas, a young member of our city, was murdered by her father on May 11th, 2015. Concerned members of the Vine Grove community ask you to join them as they come together to raise funds to support the following endeavors:
*5k memorial walk/run in Tasha's honor will begin and end in Optimist Park in the city of Vine Grove, KY on Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at 9 a.m.
*The creation of a non-profit organization in Tasha Jonas' honor to raise awareness, prevention, and financial assistance, for children and victims of tragic domestic violence.
*To purchase four memorial benches in memory of Tasha to be placed throughout the city of Vine Grove and along the 5k route.
*To purchase a memorial plaque for an updated library at Vine Grove City Hall that will be dedicated to Tasha.
*To obtain travel, food, and hotel arrangements for Tasha's mom so she can travel from Virginia and be present for the 5k walk / run in Vine Grove Kentucky. Also, to pay for any other expenses related to Tasha's death that her mom will be needing assistance with.
Your help and prayers are greatly appreciated and needed to raise 15,000 dollars for the Tasha Jonas 5K memorial walk and run and violence prevention projects. Tasha was an angel who was precious to an overwhelming number of people in our community. We will not forget her, nor will we allow her death to be in vain and we will not allow Tasha's mother to grieve, or go through this alone.
