Support Middle Eastern Refugees

The Iraqi Mutual Aid Society  (IMAS) fosters the well-being and self-sufficiency of Middle Eastern refugees and immigrants resettling in the United States through easing their transition to life in America; forging connections between Middle Eastern and American society; and facilitating the preservation and exchange of Middle Eastern culture. 

IMAS has been busy this year as more refugees and immigrants arrive from Iraq, Syria and the Middle East. In our last fiscal year, we helped over 380 individual clients with over 1,450 separate services. To date, IMAS has served over 750 families with more on the way. These refugees have fled war and terrorism to start a new life in America, a country of immigrants and dedicated to deeply held humanitarian traditions. Now, more than ever, these refugees need our support!

Help us raise $1000 by December 31, 2015 to help more refugees with the essential services they need: 
- Youth programming - Education counseling
- Employment assistance
- Social work and humanitarian services

Your donation will make it possible for newly arrived refugees to begin a stable life in Chicago, to find work for themselves and education for their children, and ultimately to make a positive contribution to our community.
