Help Brown Family Avoid Eviction

Please donate and help save a Brooklyn family from eviction!

Shamane has been living in Brooklyn for over 20 years. She is living with her daughter in a one bedroom apartment in Bed-Stuy. They have been in the apartment for 7 years, now their landlord is trying to push them out and evict them! She has been in a long-term battle with her landlord to fix several repairs needed in her apartment. Her daughter is going to school and working to contribute to rent. Shamene is actively searching for employment but it has been very difficult because of the strict regiment she is on to take care of her diabetes. They fell behind on rent and their landlord refused to work with them, instead he is trying to evict them. On top of this, Con-Ed is also harassing them with a large bill for the electric. 

We need to raise 2,200 by April 30th!! We can't allow this landlord to displace this family! He has given them a short amount of time to raise a lot of money, so they need the community to donate as much as possible. Please spread the word! No donation is too small!
