What Would YOU Do to Survive Homelessness?

THIS CAMPAIGN IS SIMPLE! 

We are asking your help in raising funds to provide life changing assistance to homeless, hungry and at risk teens and youth.
NOT just Today but Countless Tomorrows.

In our sometimes isolated neighborhoods and communities and in our loving family circles it may be hard to imagine children, young people or teenagers, as homeless or hungry.
   
                    The reality is heartbreaking to witness;
A cold hungry 15 year old abused by an alcoholic parent curled up in an alley to sleep one more night alone.

Behind the face of every homeless young person is another heartbreaking story.

A pregnant 16 year old girl rejected and forced out,  looking for a few scraps to eat and hoping to be safe for just one more day.



Could this be one of your kids?  Your friend from high school?  A relative or your best friends brother, son or daughter?Some say:
They are ALL on drugs or alcohol: NO, THEY ARE NOT!
They ALL have a choice: NO, THEY DO NOT!

50% of adolescents aging out of foster care and juvenile justice systems will be homeless within six months because they are unprepared to live independently,  have limited education, no social support and NO one to teach them how to survive.

Almost 40% of the homeless in the United States are under 18. 

30% admit to being exploited or turn to prostitution as a means of self preservation or "Survival Sex".

We could overwhelm you with statistics and numbers on the thousands of homeless young people and how many are abused, molested or die on the streets everyday.

Statistics show us the problem but NOT the solution.

They DO want a better life, they just don't know how. 

These are our CHILDREN, our future, young people with potential and promise, life and values to give.
They just need someone to care, to reach out, to give them HOPE, compassion & opportunity.
JUST FOR ONE MINUTE NOT TO judge them, scold them, look down on them, show disappointment or turn their back.
Just to LOVE them for a minute, even if from a distance.

I KNOW, we can’t fix it all, However, each one of us can make a difference in ONE persons life today.

This is not a guilt trip, this is just a simple plea to help someone who can’t really help themselves right now.

Short Term:

Your heartfelt gift will be used to provide immediate necessities of food, clothing, shoes, blankets, sleeping bags, tents, & hygiene supplies. Just the daily needs to hold on one more day.

$10.00... Buys a pair of shoes.
$20.00..Buys 4 kids food for a day
$50.00.. Will provide survival backpacks with food, hygiene supplies, a phone card, socks, and a blanket.
$100.00...Buys 5 sleeping bags.

Long Term:
1.  A significant portion of the funds raised will be used to lay the cornerstone and launch the “SEA OF HOPE” Foundation. This foundation will provide ongoing support and resources to the rising number of "at risk" youth and teens and continue the work YOU have helped begin.

2.  We have also formed a Jewelry company to create unique designs that will be sold online and through major retailers. 
The Company's sole purpose will be to  provide jobs and employment opportunities directly to the "at risk" youth and teens, in a safe workplace.
The profits generated from sales will also be used to provide mentoring, counseling and education through internships and apprenticeships.

3.  You will always have the opportunity to stay connected through our website and receive emails if you choose, that will keep you up to date on the foundation and the work it is doing, the stories and progress of the young people who's lives are affected and the difference YOU have made.


We are not asking you to give them a handout, but a HAND UP;  to help them transition out of hopelessness into a SEA OF HOPE!
