Roman Kornienko, age 30, Ukraine is greatly suffering from hemangiopericytoma. He is only 30 years old and is running out of time and hope. All treatments administered in the Ukraine have been unsuccessful due to the lack of expertise there.
Roman is now blind as a result of his condition and has become disoriented. He spends his long days laying down and facing the wall which leaves his mother and father feeling helpless. Roman has become so depressed that he won’t even receive calls from his closest friends anymore. It is breaking our hearts because no one in today’s age should be abandoned and left to live like this because he and his family cannot pay for treatment overseas and because of the lack of medical options where he is from.
Roman only wishes for help, for the chance to have a normal life and to return to work as a photographer once again. I implore you in the name of all that is good to please help Roman’s wish come true. I’m holding on to my faith that someone somewhere with the capability and knowledge will step up and change Roman’s life.
Roman’s sores are opening often which causes blood to run down his face. I think of him blind, lost, depressed and loosing hope while covered in blood. When the ambulance arrives, they are usually shocked in what they find and ask what has happened to him. All they can do is stop the bleeding until it happens again. I’ve tried to put myself in his position wondering how I would feel and I always wind up in tears.
Please help to save this life by doing anything that you can from donation, treatment to any helpful recommendations that will get Roman the much needed help that he deserves.
