Stop the Misappropriation of Public Funds
Support Save Ardmore Coalition v. Commonwealth

While school districts around the state are borrowing money to cover operating expenses and non-profits are reducing services during Pennsylvania’s state budget impasse, a real estate developer is demanding tax dollars to build luxury apartments in one of the wealthiest township in Pennsylvania.

On August 10, 2015, the Save Ardmore Coalition filed a lawsuit in PA Commonwealth Court against Governor Wolf, Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority and Lower Merion Township seeking declaratory and injunctive relief to stop the misappropriation of millions of dollars of public funds intended for the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the Ardmore Train Station.

The lawsuit states that rather than use Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) funds for their intended purpose; the Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority is redirecting $10.5 million to Dranoff Properties to build an luxury apartment building on the Lower Merion Township owned Cricket Parking Lot that is neither adjacent to the Ardmore Train Station nor has any association with it.

The Save Ardmore Coalition is a grassroots organization dedicated to the revitalization of Ardmore's business district based on community input, consensus building, sound and comprehensive planning and the preservation of its architectural heritage.

We rely on the voluntary contributions of members and residents of Lower Merion Township to pay for our legal expenses, but we can’t do it alone.  Our opponents, township, county and state governments have unlimite resources, as well as real estate developer, Carl Dranoff, who will likely spare no expense to obtain millions of your taxpayer dollars.

The Save Ardmore Coalition is a 501(c)(4) non-profit civic action organization. Go to our website at http://www.saveardmorecoalition.org/ and on Facebook at https://facebook.com/SaveArdmoreCoalition

Thank you for fighting the proposed development on the Cricket lot! If ever there was a misdirection of public funds, and an inappropriate addition (8 stories!) to Ardmore's downtown, this is it. Please continue the fight!
