1952 Abilene, Texas Ladder Truck No. 1 Restoration

Want to join me in making a difference?  Old Primero Historical Foundation is raising money to restore the old Ladder Truck No. 1 for the Abilene, Texas community. 

The restoration of this early ladder truck will be a tribute to all Abilene firefighters who have served our community.  It will be a teaching point for children and the citizens of Abilene to illustrate how technology has changed in firefighting in over a half century. 

The restored Truck No. 1 will demonstrate how technology is constantly changing as the Abilene Fire Department stands vigil in our community.   This preservation project will be a reminder of our past, and a testament to Abilene firelighters and their tradition protecting our families and Abilene across two centuries.

Any donation will help make an impact.  All donations are tax-deductible.  Any funds raised over the goal will be gifted to the Abilene Fire Department for use in maintaining Old 1952 and restoration work on other historical vehicles in the Department.  Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that will mean so much to our children, our history, our community.
