Provide Support for the Starving Taiz Zoo Animals via "A Lion's Heart" by Breeze Azrael and Barbara Stiles
URGENT NEED As of 3/3/17
There have been many stories circulating on the internet. There are several supposed "Funds" for the Taiz animals. "A Lion's Heart" IS THE ONLY CERTIFIED ORGANIZATION CARING FOR THE ANIMALS - THE ENTIRE ZOO. Fake Fundrazzzors and FaceBook groups are putting money they raise into their personal accounts. "A Lion's Heart" is a registered 501c(3) and all of their money goes to care for the Taiz Zoo animals! Please help if you can.

A Brief History: An ongoing civil war in Yemen has left a zoo of 282 animals to starve. Several animals have died already and this is not acceptable. Many of the animals are red listed, endangered animals - but ALL need our care. The Taiz Zoo has some animals that have been extinct in the wild since 1999. They are being kept in the zoo and breeding programs are in place to keep the species alive. EXTINCTION IS FOREVER.
Bankruptcy, infighting and the raging war has left these animals abandoned. We (Breeze Azrael and Barbara Stiles) became so concerned for the fate of these animals that we waded through all the information we could find for several months. We found that "A Lion's Heart" has taken on the immediate task of providing food and care of the Taiz Zoo Animals. This organization has the blessing of the original group that kept the animals alive, SOS Zoo and Bear Rescue. "A Lion's Heart" is a registered, non-profit following the required ethics guidelines and transparency of where the funds are going. Donations to "A Lion's Heart" are tax deductible. (We are dedicated but not affiliated with "A Lion's Heart". We feel that they are the most dependable and dedicated group helping the Taiz Zoo Animals at this time. They are the only registered 501c(3) working for the Taiz Animals currently!)
Current Goals: 1. Feeding these starving animals 2. Providing safe drinking water ($97 USD weekly) 3. Vet care and medicines to stablize the animals 4. Clean, sanitary living conditions 5. More appropriate spaces with time outside in the sun
FUNDING IS URGENTLY NEEDED . $4000 USD is needed WEEKLY for the animals. All donations made here go directly to "A Lion's Heart" registered non-profit for the immediate care of the animals trapped at Taiz Zoo, in Yemen. Money is needed to keep food, water, & medicines supplied to the animals.
The Taiz animals need your help to survive. "A Lion's Heart" is working towards transferring the animals to sanctuaries. They have been found, but onground politics and monies for transportation are current issues being addressed. A comprehensive plan has been drafted to ensure the needed support for the survival and optimum care for all the animals located in Taiz zoo in the future, but this GoFundMe Campaign is for the very survival of the animals: the basics of food, water, medical care, and sanitary conditions.

Wrap-Up: There are several factions promoting themselves as "helping" the Taiz animals. They have refused to file paperwork and to apply for 501c(3) status. The funds some collect go into personal accounts with no accountablility. Please research and be aware when you donate. Some sources look good, but lack any rules. It's a "trust me" attitude with photos of receipts & good videos. "A Lion's Heart" became a registered non-profit to have accountability as to where funds go & to ensure the monies collected actually reach the Taiz Zoo animals! "A Lion's Heart" is the ONLY registered non-profit working for the Taiz Zoo animals at this time. "A Lion's Heart" is a PayPal approved Non-Profit. Please make sure your money reaches the Taiz Zoo Animals! Donate by using "A Lion's Heart" and rest assured that your money will get to the animals!
