FIJI 2018- SPD Fly 'n' Build

In July 2018 Adventist Volunteer Services supported by the Seventh Day Adventist Church Headquarters of the South Pacific Division office, will be heading out to Fiji for a short term mission trip.

This beautiful building was designed and built in 2015 by donations made available through the Hand Across World Offering, local Mission offerings and a few generous individual contributions. Sadly however the money ran out before the project did and so it has not been completed. The council has refused permission for it to be used until a certificate of occupancy has been granted, and this can not be done until it is fully completed. Once opened it will be used as a Centre of Influence for the surrounding community and will become a:
1. Wellness Centre
2. Seventh-day Adventist Church
3. Family Education Centre
4. Health Education Centre
5. Community Hall in time of need
6. Evacuation Centre in time of Natural Disaster
7. Child Daycare for Needy Family
8. Counseling Centre etc





A group of volunteers from across our Division  are heading out to hopefully complete this venture – the work will only be limited by the amount they can raise. It is estimated that we will need $20,000AUD to get this building to approval stage. As hard as it is for us to raise this amount, we understand how much harder it is for our Fijian brothers and sisters to raise it. So we are pleading for your help. If you could dig deep and sacrificially give to this project we know that you will be blessed, and the people of Nadi will be eternally grateful.

We need all types of building specialists, general handymen, and of course unskilled workers as well. This will be a great project that will see amazing results due to the kindness of our church family and friends.

ALL CONTRIBUTIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE PROJECT AND NOT TO THE COSTS INCURRED BY THE VOLUNTEERS.
