Richie's Living Expenses

I am Debbie Gleason. I am raising funds on behalf of my friend, Richard (RicHie) Makepeace, who has been like a brother to me. For years he has been a good friend and mentor. He's offered me much support over the years, and now it's my turn to help him.

Richie, who is a Vietnam Era X-Marine, chose his surname after he left the Marine Corps as a 1-O Conscientious Objector to better reflect what he lives in the world: as a peacemaker. He needs funds so that he can afford transportation and occasionally a place to stay when he works in the Seattle area as a volunteer with the Alternatives to Violence Project.

When Richie meets with prisoners, he helps them gain a better outlook so that when they are released they will be more inclined to be peaceful members of their communities. Perhaps even mentor others to seek out nonviolent solutions to problems.

Given recent events, I feel that the work Richie does is very wonderful and very necessary. That is why I would like to support him in what he is doing.

Richie will need the funds as soon as possible.
