Ramona's Goal to GREEN&GOLD

Hi, I’m Ramona, a 30 year old mother of 3, with an amazing husband, family and friends. I have recently been selected to represent Australia in the FIRST EVER Australian Womens National Gridiron Team and I need your help to get there.

In 2015 started playing gridiron to get in some extra cardio in support of my weight loss journey. Back then, I had no idea this could lead to such amazing opportunities


In February 2016, I attended a 4 day intensive selection camp, along 100+ other amazing women who play this incredible sport. We were coached by American and Australian coaches, who pushed us all, as individuals and a collective, to achieve new goals, and learn more then we possibly could have imagined. Together we bonded, fighting through the pain, the sweat, the tears, to learn new things about ourselves, about each other, to form long lasting friendships and fly home with a sense of pride and achievement, regards of the results.


Fast forward a year, I feel blessed to be selected in the Australian Outback Women's Gridiron team that will head to Canada in June.

I am inspired and honoured at the opportunity to wear green and gold, to play alongside 44 strong, empowering women, and compete against the likes of USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden and more. This is the very first time an Australian team will be competing.


The money that is raised will go towards all team fees such as flights, accommodation, uniform and administration fees.


As a mother, wife, sister, daughter, cousin and friend, I want to take this opportunity to not only continue to benefit my health, and push my limits in this sport, but empower other women to achieve the same, be it in sport, career based, home life, you can push the boundaries and reach your dreams. I see this as an opportunity to represent not only myself, my family, all mothers and women and my country.
