Pop Stansell Park Flag Pole

As a Life Scout working to earn Eagle rank, I'm at the fundraising stage of my Eagle Project, which involves installing a new fully functioning flagpole at the end of Florida Avenue in Pop Stansell Park.  The pole will be a premium Eder manufactured, hurricane series, clear anodized, internal halyard, 40’ pole, which Eder has agreed to supply at a large discount.  This will replace the existing flagpole that was erected in 1986, by the Pilot Club of Palm Harbor. The new pole will have  premium stainless steel bollard (protective) posts surrounding it, along with lights to illuminate it throughout the night, acting as a guiding reference for boaters. There will also be a masonry base at the foundation of the pole with a plaque of dedication to our servicemen and women, and to Captain Dean Parks, who taught hundreds of local youth how to fish, through the Palm Harbor Parks Department.  The project should be completed by late Fall, 2015.
