Pebbles Broken-Back Saga

Wags and Walks rescued Pebbles from the shelter after she arrived there with injuries from being hit by a car.  After consulting with several vets including an orthopedist and a neurologist who did a CT scan, we learned that Pebbles actually has a broken back - she has a shattered vertabrae in her spine! 

Unfortuantely the break is not clean enough for surgical repair so Pebbles needs to heal naturally with complete confinement to a cage for 6-8 weeks.  Poor Pebbles!! 

She has a long road ahead of her... but with help from compassionate  dog lovers we will be able to provide her with the best chance at a long happy life!
