Truck Repairs for Disabled Veteran.

Hello all, I'm setting up this page to help Charlaine N. She is a disabled American veteran of the Iraq conflict. She needs help in order to repair her truck, A 1969 Ford F250 RWD Camper Special 360cui. 5.9L engine. The trucks name is Pearl.
This classic Ford truck was bought knowing that there were some issues with her that needed to be fixed, most of which she could do herself. What was not known was the ammount of hidden issues that had been hidden by the seller. Charlaine has already done a large amount of work. She has spent alot of time and put what money she can, into fixing the known issues. As well as working to replace some of the missing components, and repair damage that has been found. She is hoping to one day restore the truck, bringing it to showroom quality but that is a long ways away.

Charlaine spent a total of 28 months in Iraq serving with the U.S. Army 2003-2006. Charlaine is a combat veteran and suffers a number of combat related issues including Traumatic Brain injury, P.T.S.D, Depression, Fibromyalgia, and a number of other medical issues from her time in the service.
The repairs for this truck are a form of physical and emotional therapy for Charlaine, giving her an active outlet to relieve the stress and pains caused by combat related Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
The truck is also her only form of Transportation during the winter as well as the tow vehicle for her mobile beauty salon that she’s working to open.
Currently Charlaine has a limited income coming in from her military disability. This causes the current repairs to make the truck drivable hard to do.
Currently we are looking to raise $3600 or more to cover putting the truck in the shop to have engine rebuilt, and have exhaust work, and break work done most of that she is unable to do herself due to not having the proper tools or shop at this time.
The known engine issues are a rear main engine seal, engine bearings need replacing, and more. The engine needs to be rebuilt. Also a leaking transmission needs to be fixed as well, break line replacement and some engine machine work.

My plans for this fundraiser are to use it to help her in stages of the repair and restoration of the truck. the stages are as follows.
Stage One: Engine rebuild, transmission work, $3600
Stage Two: Getting the truck Road safe. $1200.
Stage Three: Replace damaged or missing parts goal $1150
Stage Four: Body work and Paint TBD
Each Donation will receive a personal Thank you card from Charlaine. If she is able to a special gift will be hand made for anyone donating over $50.00+
