Hello everyone,
The Pakistani Student Association is holding an event in which we will be hosting a Hunger Van and working with Muslims Against Hunger on Monday, February 29th at 8:00 pm in the International Lounge at the Busch Student Center. Help us prepare food and help distribute it to various locations
Muslims Against Hunger aims to help the hungry and homeless in our backyard. It is a volunteer run grass root effort to mobilize and educate the the community-at-large about the problems of Hunger, Poverty, and Homelessness. The Hunger Van’s mission is to provide the needy with a means and path to self-sufficiency. Hunger Van brings food and other essential items to the homeless on the streets and unites volunteers across religious, political and socio-economic boundaries. Its purpose is to engagecommunities and help promote a unanimous pledge to serve humanity and create a dialogue between all backgrounds about the issues of hunger. Our goal is to package non-perishable food to be sent out to those in need.
The Hunger Van project is volunteer based and needs YOUR help. This will be a great opportunity to help out the community and strengthen the bond between not just Pakistani’s, but everyone around us. Definitely try your best to come out! Hope to see you all there!
