Parachute Factory Summer Camps '15
Thanks to the generous support of private donors and volunteers who are committed to supporting this community we are offering free camps to more than 30 local youth in July. It is our hope that lil' Las Vegas will step up and chip in to help us offset the cost of making this happen. Our actual costs for each kid come in at around $100, but we are seeking less than half that with this campaign.
Parachute Factory is a nationally recognized makerspace located right here in lil' Las Vegas. We are one of 35 spaces recognized by the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Agency by Design as leaders in the world of maker education. Help us make Vegas a better place by providing quality programs to our kiddos!
Did you know that Parachute Factory was mentioned in the June 2015 issue of Popular Mechanics? The magazine said:
Parachute Factory // LAS VEGAS, NM: a nicely equipped space in a town of 15,000.
Parachute Factory was one of the first rural makerspaces in the USA. For nearly three years we have introduced thousands to the world of maker education, and hope to continue for some time to come.
Our summer camps kick off July 10th - there is still plenty of time to get behind this awesome project.
