PDX Black Women's Feminism
Donation protected
Wow, I can't believe it's almost November!
I want to thank everyone again for supporting the PDX Black Women's Luncheon, last month.
I am revamping this campaign, as an ongoing funding source for the PDX Black Feminism group.
The purpose is to continue the work we started in September, with meetings, self-care activities, and community work.
This will hopefully accumulate into a larger event in June 2018, which will be open to allies.
Please continue to support and/or share with networks.
If you no longer wish to stay connected to this campaign, I believe gofundme proves an option to unsubscribe.
We are working on another meeting in December. The gathering will be a celebration of the holidays, as well as a time for reflection. There's been a lot happening, especially in politics. What does the future hold for Black Women/Non-Binary people? We will explore our next step for 2018.
In December, we would love to have Kwanzaa themed meal provided by a local Black woman caterer (check out the photo of one of her delicious meals!)
Donations contributed to this campaign, will be used to host this event.
Please use gofund to message me, if you want to stay connected, but not via this campaign. I will forward you PDX Black Feminism's new email address.
Once again about me...
My name is Tonya Jones and I am the founder of Portland, Oregon's Women of Color Zine Workshops . I'm also the facilitator of PDX Black Feminism . I write a blog dedicated to media representations of Black women ("See Me" ).
Thank you again for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Tonya
