Our Father's Heart Campaign for Jason Roberts

Want to join me in making a difference in a young boy's life? Our Fathers Heart Ministry is raising money on behalf of Jason Roberts. Jason, who is 14 years old, has been bound to a wheelchair since he suffered two strokes at the age of 11.

Tragically, on April 29, 2016, our eleven year old son, Jason Roberts, suffered two major strokes. Jason was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit - on a ventilator - for nearly three months. Our angel had a stroke on both sides of his brain - a large stroke on the left side and a 'smaller' stroke on the right side. The strokes left Jason completely paralyzed on his left side and bound to a wheelchair. He is also legally blind.
Jason is now fourteen years old and attending Middle school in a special needs class. Our family has singlehandedly supported Jason both emotionally as well as financially throughout this extremely difficult ordeal as Jason requires 24 hour attention and support. Also, Jason's condition is fragile requiring frequent medial care and physical therapy. We tried using pubic transportation to get Jason to and from doctor appointments and therapy. However, public transportation proved unreliable causing us to miss many appointments and Jason's health and well being to suffer.
As a result, we purchased a van with a wheelchair lift. Unfortunately, given the van is 18 years old, it frequently breaks down causing us to spend all our savings on costly repairs. We are in desperate need of a new or used van that will serve as a reliable mode of transportation for Jason.
