Ottawa Art Workshop for Refugees

Donation protected
Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected. Art and self-expression and can be therapeutic and helpful in times of transition, helping to bring people together in a positive and welcoming way. With support from the Ottawa School of Art, a team of amazing volunteers from the local art community in Ottawa are offering 10-weeks of free facilitated art classes to refugees. These classes will be beginning in September and to remove any financial obstacles for participantes, class will be completely free of charge. To make the class accessible for everyone, funds are required for supplies.  Any money raised will be put towards buying the essentials to keep the class engaging, functional and interesting. These classes are being held to help make Ottawa a welcoming city for newcomers and to foster creativity in everyone, despite any challenges they may face. Any contributions are greatly appreciated by everyone involved and will be put to great use. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
