Ohio University Men's Rugby

The Ohio University Men's Rugby Club has been an organization at Ohio University since 1972.  As the game of rugby has evolved and grown, so have the expenses involved in running the organization.  Costs ranging from: transportation, hotel room stays, paying of officials, league fees, and equipment; the overall cost of running a collegeiate level rugby team has skyrocketed. The team was recently invited by The Citadel, a military academy located in Charleston, South Carolina, to play a friendly match in January.  Sending a full team nine hours away on a weekend-long trip will be very costly, adding to our Spring semester expenses. The Spring season consists of both 15s and 7s. Since it was adopted as  an olympic sport, the 7s style of rugby has grown across the nation. The Ohio University Men's Rugby Club is planning on sending a 7s team to the  Collegiate Rugby Qualifier in Las Vegas, Nevada. The team is hoping to not have to pay all of their personal expenses out of pocket.  With this in mind, we are asking for your help.  Any level of donation will be beneficial towards the club and greatly appreciated.  We thank you for your support and will continue to represent Ohio University to the best of our abilities.
