Save Desert Stages Theatre!

We need your help! At the end of the year, Desert Stages Theatre, home to thousands of actors and hundreds of performances each and every year, will lose its home at the corner of Scottsdale & Highland. We have a wonderful opportunity to move into the former Harkins Theatres within Scottsdale Fashion Square and have launched a capital campaign to renovate the space into a performing arts theatre suitable for our needs.
We're thrilled to report that we have already made incredible progress, with $315,000 raised, thanks to your tireless efforts!!
THE NUMBERS: To build the theatre of our dreams we've set our goal at $900,000, but we can get in and begin building the space out when we reach $450,000 so that is our current goal, minus the $315,000 we've already raised via:

If you want a glimpse of tomorrow’s leaders, visit the young actors at Desert Stages Theatre. Because Desert Stages is much more than just another community theatre. It is a special place where children receive a unique education that results in confidence, ambition and an extraordinary sense of self.
As more and more schools lose their programs in the arts due to budget cuts, Desert Stages continues to offer hundreds and hundreds of children a safe, affordable place to learn the craft of performing arts. At Desert Stages children learn and thrive in a unique, supportive, creative environment with guidance not only from their directors and teachers, but also from each other. The wide range of ages at Desert Stages has naturally produced a culture of mentorship in which the older, more experienced actors teach, support and encourage the younger, less experienced ones.
For children who may have had difficulty finding their niche, Desert Stages offers a home where individuality is celebrated and everyone has their place. The unique Desert Stages program includes performing roles for children as young as 3 and nurtures young actors through every age and stage of their development.
The Desert Stages program helps actors develop important skills that will serve them for life including, public speaking, perseverance, responsibility, resilience, dependability and teamwork. In the process, the young Desert Stages actors discover who they are, who they would like to be, and develop the character to become extraordinary, ambitious members of their communities.
