URGENT APPEAL FOR DONATIONS ON BEHALF OF NEPALESE DOCTORS’ ASSOCIATION UK (NDA UK)
I am sure you are all aware of the ongoing devastating effects of the Earthquake in Nepal. The most effective way that you can help is by providing monetary support. On the ground, medical supplies are running low. As an organisation, the NDA is getting direct pleas for help from teams of doctors in purchasing more medical supplies. We are looking to transfer money to these teams ASAP. Whilst we have small existing funds to transfer, this will inevitably run low and we need your support.
We are raising money for the Nepalese Doctors' Association as there is transparency in where the money is going, no administration costs and the money is transferred directly to groups in need on the front line.
Projects the Nepalese Doctors' Association are supporting right now include: (We will update these as time goes on)
1) Mr Kamal Aryal, Consultant Surgeon, James Paget Hospital, who is currently with a team carrying out life saving surgery in Gorkha.

2) A group of 21 doctors from the UK, led my Dr Kapil Rijal, are working hard in healthposts in the badly affected area of Gurkha.
3) Dr Chuda Karki, Consultant Psychiatrist, in association with Psychiatric Asscociation of Nepal, is exploring the provision of psychosocial therapies and dealing with post traumatic stress disorder in the earthquake victims.
4) Buying of Essential Medical Equipment.
