Jess Oldwyn, An Optimistic People Lover
Jess was diagnosed with brain cancer in April 2010. Surgeries have at times left her unable to speak and unable to move, however, her love for her husband and her determination to find a treatment that will work keeps her going. Here are a few words taken from her blog:
“I want to live. I want to live like most people want a new car, or a baby, or a vacation, or a new house, or a boyfriend, or husband. I want to breathe this sweet air. To feel the cool breeze. To hug. To laugh. To smile. To ride my bike with the sun on my face.”
Her undying fight for a cure as well as her tenacious spirit are apparent within a few moments of meeting Jess. She has documented her journey on her blog: http://jessicaoldwyn.blogspot.com/.
The funds raised for Jess’s campaign will go towards her expensive treatments.
