My Lunch With Obama

How does the average guy get a seat at the table? And would you spend $32,400 of your retirement money to get that seat to speak to the President of the United States for two minutes about an issue you deeply believed could benefit our nation?

That's exactly what long-time electric vehicle advocate and expert Paul Scott decided to do when he accepted an invitation from the Democratic National Committee to attend a fund raising luncheon with President Obama.

Paul intended to use his two minutes with the President to stress the economic benefits electric vehicles offer and advocate for a comprehensive electric vehicle policy for the United States.

Despite Paul's RSVP being accepted and his check being cashed, he never got the opportunity.

My Lunch With Obama is a feature-length documentary that chronicles Paul's journey - from the day he received his invitation, to his willingness to spend his own retirement funds to attend the event and the nationwide controversy it caused, to the surprise decision of the Democratic National Committee to rescind his invitation and the further controversy that erupted because Paul was uninvited.

The film also chronicles Paul's subsequent invitation from the government of the Netherlands to attend an international EV conference where he gave a presentation to leaders and policy makers of the Netherlands, England, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Belgium.

Paul wasn't asked to spend his own money to share his insights with these leaders, instead, he was an honored guest with his trip completely subsidized by the hosting nations.

We believe this film and the story it tells is important. We want people to learn firsthand of Paul's passionate advocacy and commitment to electric vehicles and to see for themselves the personal advantages of driving an EV.

We also want our leaders and policy makers here in the U.S. to be able to hear Paul's message and learn how expanding national EV policy can have great economic, environmental and national security advantages for our nation.

We believe that, through this film, we can finally get Paul's message to the President, and this message will have an important and lasting effect upon the health and sustainability of our country.

Please help us finish this film!
