Mother Lawrence Foundation

Mother Lawrence, known as a "Guardian Angel" to those in crisis, has been instrumental in helping support the Anchorage community for over 55 years.

She has led an amazing life and has been nationally recognized for her beautiful heart and all that she does, without asking for anything in return. Here at Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group, we are fundraising to give back to the woman who has poured into our community for over half a century. We are fundraising for her utilities and mortgage. Won't you please help us?

Everyday at 2pm Mother Lawrence opens the doors of her home and assists the needy in Mountain View. She does this by feeding, clothing, ministering to, loving on and laughing with them.  She feeds small children, sometimes as young as 2, that find their way to her doorstep after having gone without food for days. She helps couples who are down on their luck and can't afford to get married by marrying them, free of charge. She sews dresses for women who are getting out of jail so they have a reason to feel beautiful and renewed. She ministers to anyone who will listen and has even filled her home with pews so she has plenty of space to speak God's Word to the weary and restless. And if laughter is the best medicine, she can cure whatever it is that ails you. She calls it her "job" to help those in need and she truly believes that is what she has been called here to do.
