Greetings,
My name is Herisa Stanislaus and it is my honor and privilege to represent Grenada in the 2016 Houston Caribbean Queen Pageant. This is my first pageant so I am asking for your support as I sail to the crown.
Becoming the 2016 Miss Houston Caribbean Queen will allow me to serve the Houston community on a grand scale. Through my platform Youth Education Enrichment I intend to foster college readiness and encourage a love of reading. My Panamanian mother and Grenadian father believed education was the birthplace of innovation and opportunity. I became the first Valedictorian in my family and earned my Masters of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. My worldview was expanded because of their efforts and I want to pay it forward.
This past February was our 42nd Independence Day and I had the honor of listening to the previous Prime Minister of Grenada, Honorable Tillman during our Houston Town Hall meeting. My goals are in direct alignment with the need in Grenada. After the pageant I intend to travel to Grenada on a mission trip for Youth Education Enrichment. I will be traveling to schools in the different parishes delivering workshops.
Over the next few months, I will be in the Houston community advertising the pageant and speaking on my platform. I welcome any invitation to come and share my passion for Youth Education Enrichment.
