Raise Awareness for Melas disease

Hello, my name is Vicky Keenan, Im trying to rasie money and the Awareness of Melas Syndrome!, I lost my father 2 years ago due to Melas Syndrome after being his carer for 5 years, i was 17 years old when my father passed away in his sleep he was only 47 years old and weight 6 stone. I also lost my grandmother and two uncles to this Syndrome and my Uncle Alan is currently Fighting this diease, Very little is Known about Melas as it is a Very Very rare Genetic syndrome which is passed from mother to son, my grandmother had 5 sons and could never carry a baby girl. every son sadly had/has Melas. There is no cure for Melas and there is little research. and it is often Misdiagnosed as my father was on many occasions. The syndrome attacks the brain, causing multipe stroke and causes seizures. its a very compliex and fatal diease. unless you witness it first hand, it very hard to explain. The money im trying to raise will help fund research for Melas whislt educate people of what Melas Syndrome is, as even alot of family friends still arent sure of what my family members died of. It will also go to the Stroke Ward in Altnagavlin Hospital where my father and uncles spent most of their time it will benefit people in the care of this ward. And will also hopefully provide help to other familys who need it, Spearding recognition of Melas is extremely important to me and is close to my heart. As this syndrome brought alot of pain to my family and i want to help other families that might be in the same position i was in. i would eternal grateful if you donate a small amount towards my cause, as every little helps. any support would be greatly appreciated. i hope you can support my cause . thank you for your time
