Help us move forward

Hi. This is my wife Sandra, with her grandson, Tobias.

In April this year, we were in Kathmandu, Nepal, when a major earthquake struck. We had gone there to work at a school, but after the earthquake, the school closed and we had no job and no money. With the help of the US embassy and Sandra's family, we were able to return to the US, but I was not able to work until my immigration process was complete. 

For the last 7 years, Sandra has suffered from a rare and painful skin condition called 'Subcorneal pustular dermatosis' aka Morgellon's. Although she has managed to work at times, it is very difficult and painful for her to do so. Before she fell ill, Sandra worked all her life. She is a developmental psychologist who specializes in nutritional consultations for families with autistic children and has helped thousands of families around the world. I have worked as a music teacher, and as a care worker, art therapist and counsellor for people with developmental difficulties. 

Since we came to the US, we have been looked after by Sandra's sister, a veteran. We are looking for help in moving forward, and giving something back to Sandra's family, especially her sister, Ginger,  who has put us up in her house from June 2015 to 2016.

As soon as we were back on our feet we moved Virginia where I saved enough to buy a 1976 Winnebago with low mileage in 2017 and from October to present saved enough for the downpayment for the 5 acres in Allardt, Tn.  We now plan to open our own center and provide services for families with autistic children, which is what we do best. Sandra's work is unique, and we want to be able to continue to help as many children as possible, for as long as we are still able.

We would like to share the community experience with other like-minded people.
