Help Minnesota Asexuals participate in Pride!
This is our second year hosting a stand-alone booth at Twin Cities Pride! We learned a lot last year and are looking to replenish our stock of printed information as well as represent additional segments of the asexual and aromantic community. This is our highest-visibility event for the year, and want to make sure it goes well.
This year, we were able to have our booth registration fee waived through Twin Cities Pride, so all funds raised will go toward information and visibility for the asexual and aromantic community!
The larger items we're planning to obtain with the funds raised include:
Informational pamphlets - we severely underestimated the need for these last year and would like to be sure we have enough for this and other events throughout the year (around $250)
Stickers to give away - we want to ensure more ace and aro spectrum identities beyond asexuality are represented this time (around $150)
Any additional funds raised beyond what is needed to cover the above items will be used for some combination of the following:
Booth fees or transportation to other regional pride festivals - we've had a presence in Rochester previously, and would love to get to Duluth as well
Meetup site dues
Additional giveaway stuff
Subsidizing another print run of t-shirts
Snacks and beverages for booth volunteers
