The Milwaukee Women’s Film Festival will be hosting its second annual festival September 8 - 10, 2017 at the Underground Collaborative located on Wisconsin Avenue. The festival will feature both short films and feature length films produced and directed by local, domestic and international filmmakers who have chosen to not only highlight the stories of women, but also to celebrate the many contributions women have made to the film industry.
As a young organization, this second year is integral to solidifying the festival as a community and cultural staple. But to make it all happen, we need your help!
We are reaching out to filmmakers and film lovers, artists and appreciators of art, Milwaukeeans and non-Milwaukeeans... We are reaching out to everyone who wants to help make this festival happen!
We appreciate all donations regardless of amount, and will make sure every dollar goes towards putting on a spectacular festival that inspires good conversation and progressive movement in the film industry! More specifically, your help will help us pay for the projection equipment and screens, all marketing materials, all printed materials, recognition for our filmmakers, and any other logistical supplies we need for the festivities. All excess funding will go directly into further developing the the “Film Girl Film” community, a new online forum that shares blogs, podcasts, and commentary about powerful women in the film industry.
