Help fund the MHS Rowing Centre
For 100 years, the school’s rowing program has had no place to call home. In the early years, the boats were stored in the MHS cadet pavilion; Old Boys will tell you comical stories of running the wooden boats across Alexandra Avenue with the coxswain running ahead to stop traffic.
The school has rowed from Powerhouse in recent times, however our current facilities are cramped and dated. We are unable to offer all our boys the experience of rowing, despite having the Yarra on our doorstep. There is hope however, as plans for our own boathouse are being put into action; the only catch is we need money to build it.
The money raised will go towards building our very own fully equipped boathouse on the last remaining space on the Yarra bank in the Como Park Precinct.
