Suzi Smashes Phila DNC Convention

I'm Suzi Kaplan, one of 24 Bernie Sanders delegates directly elected by the voting public at the Congressional District level in Maryland.
Maryland is sending 40 elected and appointed delegates and standing committee members to represent Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia! Each of us is excited to be going to represent and work for Bernie Sanders' election to be President of the United States of America.
WHY?
We have been told our convention expense will average $4,000 per person. We are essentially"required" to stay at hotels contracted by the DNC since our meetings and events run from 7:30 a.m. through 2:00 a.m. the next morning. Staying at the convention hotel at least allows us to sleep on the shuttle bus between venues. :)
Maryland's hotel's rooms run about $360 per night including taxes. We are expected to arrive on July 24 and stay through July 29. That's five nights. Many other states have it much worse.
There is a registration fee, $300. There are meals, coffees and drinks to buy. A jar of peanut butter only goes so far.
There is transportation to consider, too. We are lucky that we do not have the expense of flying, but there is still expense incurred whether travel is by bus, train or car (parking is $41 per night plus tips!)
WHAT?
I need your help. I ask for your personal donation of funds to cover these unanticipatedly high personal expenses.
All donations will be expended toward my costs to attend the convention and support Bernie Sanders and his agenda. Should any funds be left over I will use them to help another Bernie delegate in need of funding for attending the convention or will be donated to the Bernie Sanders 2016 campaign specifically to be used to help fund delegates attending the convention.
WHEN?
As soon as possible, of course! The hotel begins charging for our rooms on July 17.

We must have our delegates on the floor and in the back rooms of the convention working for Bernie Sanders! If delegates have to drop out because they can't afford to go, we risk losing a vote for Bernie. We have only three alternates to replace drop outs. After that there are no replacements.
