Living Expenses are calculated for the month I will be at the Shaolin Temple (Sept 2017) and the
following month (Oct 2017) to assist me with expenses due to my absence from work while traveling.Dear Potential Sponsors & Donors;
I am Shidoshi Jean Francios “Phoenix” Le Grand, Founder, Creator & Master Instructor of Lost
Legacy Systems Traditional Mixed Martial Arts. I currently oversee my mixed martial arts and
conditioning classes at The Zoo Health Club in Lauderhill, FL. In consortium, I maintain a
steady client list as their personal fitness trainer. I am also an actor and a fight choreographer.
My livelihood is all about building the brand of LEGACY.
My students range in ages from youth, adolescents and adults. Most come from economically
disadvantaged families and households. Because of this, I keep enrollment and monthly dues
to an extreme minimum; waiving dues all together for a select few. My satisfaction comes from
knowing that I am preserving and upholding my brand, the LEGACY of traditional martial arts;
instilling the values of tradition, honor, structure, self-discipline, self-worth, gratitude and the
importance of LEGACY within my students.
Next September of 2017, I have been personally invited by 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk,
Respected Grandmaster Shifu Shi Yan Jun to study at the historical Shaolin Monastery as
known as the Shaolin Temple in China. Our goal is to further build the LEGACY by forming an
alliance and partnership between the Shaolin Temple and Lost Legacy Systems Traditional
MMA. During this month long visit, I will also be attending the Songshan Shaolin Traditional
Wushu Academy and achieving certifications in several of Grandmaster Shifu Shi Yan Jun’s
classes. This pilgrimage is a personal, spiritual and enlightening journey for me. I will continue
to seek wisdom and knowledge of the Martial Arts that I value and live by. The LEGACY is all
about acknowledging that knowledge is infinite and true teachers acknowledge that they are
students for life. As the world evolves, so shall one evolve, so shall the LEGACY evolve!

incidentals (plane ticket to China, Visa for China, 1 month lodge at Shaolin Temple, transportation, food, emergency, travel insurance, etc...) & my living expenses.
