Help Laura Get Her Wheelchair

  Hello there,

I've set this page up for my awesome friend Laura Smith who needs us to pull together and help her!

 As some of you know Laura hasn't had it easy over the past few years due to having Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) - Laura doesn't dwell on this though and is full of energy, enthusiasm for life and helping others...

Laura was telling me yesterday she urgently needs a new wheelchair, but sadly our friends at the wonderful NHS can't provide the one she needs..... this is where we come in!!

 It is going to cost £1,500 for Laura's new wheels... the NHS have said they will provide the first £300 in a voucher... so Laura needs our help to get her back to normal life.

Your donation will mean that Laura gets new wheels... your donation + new wheels will have this impact:

·  Your help will mean Laura can go back to University, as she's been unable to go since Easter due to the campus being too big and painful to get around

·  With the help of a new wheelchair Laura can once again be independent without having to have someone with her 24/7 (Lets be honest... as a 20 year old you want to be able to pop out and see your mates)

· Your support will mean Laura will be able to start seeing her friends again and get out and socialise instead of being shut off and isolated in her room... (much to the disappointment of Alf her dog who's grown rather fond of having her around all day for a cushion!)

· Your support will also mean less pain in her body, no more hopping around on crutches when she has to attend appointments, the freedom to be spontaneous and go out without having to plan and have someone with her... the list is endless!

We can do it… For example if we have 48 people donate £25 we will reach our target fast, or even  to help Laura get the wheelchair she needs to carry on with life.
