Landon's Leukemia - Never Giving Up.

https://www.gofundme.com/LandonVallier Landon had always been a very healthy, active little boy, Always happy, full of energy, and a ball of sunshine to everyone around him. Everything was as usual and normal. Landon, like every other little boy, had some bruises which was normal for a kid his age. Landon's dad thought maybe he was anemic and told his mom to take him in for a check up, 2 days after his 8th birthday on the 18th of October, 2017. That day turned into more than a routine check up, he was sent right away for blood, and urine testing. Four hours later, Landon's mom received a call from the Dr. saying that he had Leukemia and needed to be mercy flighted to Seattle Children's Hospital. After the initial shock and heart break of that phone call, they got to packing their things and rushed to the ER in Great Falls. At the ER all the tests came back the same as before, so they went to Seattle. Landon had only been feeling lethargic, sick, looking pale, and bruising for a week or two but when he arrived at the Seattle Children's hospital, his blood levels were at 575,000 instead of the normal 10,000. Once in his own room, the Dr's did a bone marrow biopsy in his hip and a spinal tap to check his spinal fluid. When results came back, they were that Landon has Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL.  Landon and his family will be in Seattle children's or no more than an hour away from it, for the next 7 to 11 months.   For the next 3 years Landon will be doing rounds of chemo, blood and marrow testing, and he will also have to take a trip from Great Falls to Seattle every month in those 3 years. Everything is still so new and just begining but Landon and his family are trying to prepare for the unexpected as best as possible. They have unfortunately had to abandon everything in Great Falls and leave it behind, Their dogs, bills, expenses, etc since Landon must be in Seattle Children's Hospital for these long coming months. Living situation there and their house here is still undetermined. Life has a way of kicking you when you are down or while doing your best, its up to us to fight back. In the picture of Landon and his mom above, marked their nearly 2 weeks in the hospital. A few days before the picture was taken, Landon had a port put in his chest, through his neck, to pump chemo into a large vein close to his heart. I am Landon's aunt and will be posting frequent updates, keeping everyone informed, hopeful, and bonded with Landon's story and progress. Ideally, the goals we would like to meet are first and foremost, Landon to be cured and back to a normal little boys life, safe and dependable housing for Landon and family while having to live in Seattle, well fed and properly taken care of given his infection rate is very high, storage unit for personal property left behind or bills paid back home in Great Falls, medical expenses paid on, medicine, monthly trips paid to and from Seattle over the next 3 years, and all other unexpected surprises. Hug, squeeze, love, and kiss your babies...everyday with them is a blessing! -Thank you
