LSC: Articulating Camera Fund

The participants of the 2015-2016 Leadership Seneca County have taken it to the next level of community outreach. Our mission and passion for supporting the community members has led us to a wonderful opportunity to assist in the saving of live within our county and the surrounding areas. With your help our mission is to raise money to assist in the purchase of an articulating camera to assist all varieties of our public safety officials to save lives.
How will a camera such as this save lives? The articulating camera that our law enforcement and medical personell have indicated to us a significant asset will enable their teams to see and here in the smallest of places, day or night. This ability not only protects those who protect us, but highly increases the chances of diffusing a situation.
This project really came about with the rise in suicide rates in Seneca County. Imagine you have a loved one that for one reason or another has concluded that they no longer have a purpose to serve. Imagine that before that person does the unthinkable they reach out for help, but have barracadded themselves in while negotiators reason with them. Having this articulating camera as a team memeber will allow public safety officials to now have visibility to the individual without them knowing or feeling threatened. The saying pictures speak loder than words is mor true than ever. The real time video screen will assist those professionals in making the right decisions at the right time and increase the rate of peacful resolution.
The Leadership Seneca County team, and Public Safety Professionals have come together on this project becuase the results of even one life saved is invaluable. From stories of live situations that have been communicated to us, and the drastic amount of calls that police departments across the nation receive weeklu with those in need drives us to succeed in hitting our goal.
Our fundraising efforts will last through the Month of May, at which time we will present our donation to a group of Seneca County Public Safety officials.
Appreciation is real, and the memebers of Leadership Seneca County appreciate any donation that you see fit to contribute, and no amount is too little.
