Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Charity Ride
I recently lost a very good lifelong friend to Cancer. He suffered a lot and I was powerless to help him while he was in pain. He ultimately lost his battle, as so many cancers patients do. So I decided I was going to get off my ass and try to do something to help fight this terrible disease.
I\'m going to take part in a 70 mile bicycle ride in Mesa on April 14th 2012. The ride is set up to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Society conducts research for all types of blood cancer, as well as offering living assistance for people who are suffering from this terrible disease.
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin\'s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
LLS is the world\'s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
Their Key Priorities will ensure that: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society helps blood cancer patients live better, longer lives.
I would be VERY grateful for any donation amount you can give, even a single dollar will help. My goal is to reach $1000 before April 14th which I know is a tall order, but any amount I collect will still benefit LLS and their continuing fight against cancer.
Every penny donated will go to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! The money from this page gets deposited to my wifes paypal account, and then she will write one check to the society before the event. But rest assured every penny donated will go to the LLS.
My friend Graham
Graham was taken from us way too soon by cancer. I\'d known Graham since the day I was born, he\'s the reason I rode my first motorcycle, the reason I love cars, and the reason why I started to take things apart for no apparent reason to figure out how they worked. We shared a love of music, guitars, curry, and classic cars. Rest easy mate, I\'m really going to miss you, hopefully you\'re tearing up a road somewhere in a car that\'s way too loud, way too big, and way too fast :)
Thank you for visiting my page.
