Liverpool Elementary School is planning its 1st Annual Walk-A-Thon to be held on Friday, October 16, 2015. We are trying to lessen the amount of fundraisers we do each year, and instead have one big event that the entire school participates in. The students collect money from sponsors and walk a course set up during their special area class on Friday, October 16th. They are raising money for their school and participating in a healthy activity at the same time!
Our goal is for the Walk-A-Thon to help us fund all of the programs that the school is so fortunate to have each year such as class field trips, PARP, assemblies, author visits, scholarships, special events, and much more! The more we raise from the Walk-A-Thon, the less fundraisers we will need to have through the year to meet our budget obligations.
There are several ways you can help us make this event a success. The donation of items for prizes, or a monetary donation would be very much appreciated. Some of our top participating earners will have a chance to earn Chromebooks, iPod Shuffles, Kindle Fires, tickets to local attractions, gift cards, and more. Anyone who earns a minimum of $50 in pledges will receive a free LE t-shirt. In addition, anyone who raises at least $5 will be entered into a drawing for a special prize. These incentives encourage the students to work harder and raise more money for our activities. Liverpool Elementary will keep 100% of the money raised by the students to be used for the many events, activities, and materials needed to enhance the learning of our children.
Liverpool Elementary School is a 501(c) (3) Charitable Organization and we will gladly provide you with a receipt in acknowledgement of your tax-deductible donation. We are very grateful for your support of our school and hope that you will consider helping us out.
