Once Upon An Accommodation: A picture book for all ages illustrates in words and pictures the process of what it is like to learn that you have a Learning Disability and why advocacy is so important. The hero of the book is Matt who is diagnosed with Learning Disabilities (LDs) by a psychologist who helps to teach Matt what LD is. Matt soon finds out that he is part of a community who fought for his rights and gets the accommodations he needs at his school's 504 meeting.
Once Upon an Accommodation is a great road map for individuals with Learning Disabilities, their families and educators. The goal of raising funds is to get the book to schools, libraries, colleges and community centers. For only $5 you can get Once Upon An Accommodation in the hands of kids and families who need it.

About the Author:
Nina G is the world's only female stuttering stand up comedian. She also has a Learning Disability which she was diagnosed with in the third grade. Once Upon an Accommodation was inspired by her experiences and the experiences of friends. Nina lives in Oakland where she enjoys being a disability activist, comedian, and disability educator.
About the Illustrator:
Mean Dave (who really isn't very mean at all) is a comedian, muscian, and illustrator.
