Kurt's Lung Cancer Fight!

On May 30th, 2015 Kurt Vogler and his family found out he had squamous cell lung cancer in his right lung . After a couple of months and many test Chemo has started and he was told he has stage 3 cancer in his lung . Surgery is not an option because the cancer has metastasized to his lymph nodes. The doctor gave Kurt a 50/50 chance but they aren't giving up . Kurt and Nancy are both strong hard working people. They have been thru so much the last couple of years. Medical bills have overwhelmed them. For the past 3 years Kurt has been very ill He has had 2 back surgeries, hip replaced , 1/2 of his right kidney removed due to cancer , many blood clots , pneumonia and last year due to it all Kurt had a mental breakdown. They have insurance but as you know it doesnt cover anything. One prescription alone for Kurt is $800 a month. That caused him to go into the GAP in March so they have had to pay for all his prescriptions since then. Now they have the extra cost of copays for office visits , test that are performed and the cost of fuel to go back and forth for treatments. The expenses over the last couple of years buried them in debt. As a result last year they lost their car and to save their home they were forced to file bankruptcy. They cant get any govermental help as they dont qualify. Nancy works hard to take care of Kurt and is always there for everyone .
